The only difference between the two are the Akerman Plush use's some convoluted foam and use's Sealy foam instead of super soft Sealy Foam. The Sealy foam only make's the mattress harder. The only way I would recommend this mattress over the Hope Mills Plush is if you think a 6 on our comfort scale is too soft and you want something just a touch softer. I would highly recommend looking into the Hope Mills Plush because it is a better value. The
